Finally... back again :)

So… It is to my great shame that I have not written in a long while! I cannot believe I have left you so long neglected J But now I will try to bring you up to speed on the things in my life. I have been having a great summer but I cannot believe how quickly time has passed! Only 2 more weeks of work and that blows me away! Work is going really well, I love my job and don’t even mind the early mornings so all has been well in that area of life. July was a busy month. I was again part of Niagara Serve, serving as the worship leader for the week with a bunch of my friends. It was a great week… totally geared to worshiping God with awesome kids and just a great time to worship with them! It was amazing and went by way to fast J. My parents were also gone for much of July, visiting my brother, which left me with a lot of time on my own to relax which has been really really good! While much of July was happy, I did go through a time of sadness too. A Redeemer classmate and acquaintance of mine, Craig, passed away at the end of June and several of my close friends knew him quite well. We had a memorial service for him last weekend which was so good and helped a lot to grieve for what we’ve lost. I will miss him and its funny how certain things just remind you of him or of the family and friends he leaves behind. But I know he’s with Jesus and I know that he leaves an encouraging legacy to so many of us that has constantly challenged me in the last month as well. So it’s been a bittersweet month but God has been faithful. So that’s where I’ve been… but there are still some things to come too. I am excited to say that in a week and a half, I leave on a mission trip to El Salvador. I’m a little nervous as we put the finishing preparations together but more than that I think I’m a little apprehensive about leading ministry, about actually and intentionally telling others about my faith. It sounds crazy but there ya go J But really I’m so excited to go. Then after that I begin my final year at Redeemer… soon I will be a full fledged graduate with a degree J… so that’s exciting too. Anyway, that’s all the stuff happening on my end. Hope all is well with you, wherever God has placed you! Blessings and love!

Good coffee Jules!!! I needed that! I'm sad to hear your news, I know what its like to loose a friend young and let me say it stays with you forever, but its not always sad. So...mission trip. This is news for me, I didn't know you were going (or maybe I did and forgot, sorry) However, I will need lots of details when you get back. Hoping to see you this weekend at Michelles doooo. Take lots of care, love you much...Sam
