Today we spent our first day at Oxford... what an experience! It was incredable to see all the colleges (several colleges make up the university) and to see several places like the Eagle and the Child and the Christ church cathedral. It was so beautiful but my camera batteries didn't work so I didn't get any pictures today but i'll be there enough times to grab new photos :)
My highlight was being invited to join the Reagent Park College Choir for the Chapel and for next Friday when the Archbishop of York (second in command to the Archbishop of Catebury)... needless to say I am totally pumped!
As we walked around Oxford we also saw many cathedrals and found out when we can go to evensong and hear all the choirs... i am so excited!
another highlight was being admitted into the Bodleian Library... only those who have a reason to be there can get a card... no one else can (even for recreational reading... you have to have an academic reason for being there). So that was SO exciting to get there!
Anyway... we just toured all over Oxford and it was just a great day... learning the rail system and just getting around on our own!
It was a great day!
