So we started school today... finally :)
Though it has been nice to have a lot of time off, it is nice to get down to what we have to do for the remainder of term.
We began this morning with the historical interaction of science and its influence on worldview... totally up my ally and a course that I think I will really enjoy! The professor is Peter Colyer, one of the leaders of the team and he is very good as well. I'm quite excited but it will be intense.
Then we were to catch the 12:20 train to Oxford for lunch at Reagent's Park College before going to New Road Baptist for our art history course. However, in typical British style, the train was delayed by 1 hour b/c of a train derailment.... needless to say, we missed lunch at Reagent's, caught a sandwitch at the grociery store, and made the lecture by 3 pm. It was a crazy day!
However it was a lot of fun and now its a day of figuring out what readings need to be done and what other things we need to finish before class again tomorrow
One blessing is that we are getting used to the streets of Oxford and the train system but we are still walking around in a large group which in some ways is kinda unnerving b/c we all are students of the university yet we look like tourists... anyway its alright but right now its kinda awkward.
Anyway, have to have some supper:)
Cherrio!
PS: some more differences :)
- grocery shopping is a lot cheaper (at least that what it seems like with the pound)
- eggs are not refigerated in grocery stores... they just sit there
- rubber boots are called wellies
- cookies are actually cakey-cookie goodness that is very soft (Ben's are really good)... they taste different but the crisp cookies we are used to are called biscuits
- j-walking is common in this country... as long as nothing is coming you can cross the street... waiting for street lights is uncommon and touristy
- Cress is incredably good in egg salad sandwitches, something I never though of before
PSS: Uncle Luke... before you ask, I did not see the Queen when I was in London and I probably won't see her in Oxford :) (LOL)... although I will see the Archbishop of York in Oxford next Friday

The funny thing about foreign countries is the only thing foreign is you! I envy you in the most joyful way, my dear friend. You've always been a dab hand at those books so keep up the schoolin'. Send me some photos.
